Incredibly flooded with users (from common people to companies merchandising), millions and millions of Tweets (short posts) are shared across the world everyday at any given time from all across the world. Unlike Facebook, this network allows you to share any type of message with a limit of 140 characters, in sight of your followers or users who visit your profile. However, you can choose between letting it be reviewed by other people from the Network or set it in Private Mode. Using the follow button, you can subscribe to other people’s posts, retweet (share), like and comment them and like any other social network, you can upload your profile picture, a cover page and type in text on description boxes where you can share your website, location, Vine profile and date of birth. Users can group messages on the same subject by using pad tags “#” known as Hashtag, daily used on Twitter. Similarly, the “@” (at sign) followed by a user name is used to mention or reply to other users.
Millions and millions of people use Twitter, from ordinary people to Celebrities, Brands, Commercials, Entrepreneurs, and so on. Twitter and Facebook are like a part of our Id these days. Twitter has been lately one of the many controversial social networks out there, just like Facebook.
